A Closer Look at Mobius™ PA66 for Piping Applications
As a widely used engineering polymer, PA66 (nylon 66) is a proven thermoplastic with unlimited potential. We believe the same properties that have made PA66 a replacement for steel in demanding automotive applications can make it a great solution for pipe applications.
Your Partner for the Future
Optimal Chemical Resistance
Strength and Abrasion Resistance
PA66 has excellent abrasion resistance. PA66 has better tensile strength and impact properties than HDPE.
Time-tested for Tomorrow
PA66 has been utilized for decades in demanding applications, and INVISTA has made more than $2 billion in capacity investments over the last 10 years to ensure polymer is more available than ever before.
Production Versatility
PA66-based pipe can be produced on many traditional HDPE pipe extrusion lines¹, increasing investment returns. It can be coiled and fused similar to HDPE and PA12.

Wide Temperature Window
PA66 can operate at temperatures ranging from -40°F[-40°C] to 180°F[82°C]. This could make it suitable for pipe lining or single-walled piping in oil & gas and mining operations.
WHY CHOOSE PA66?
Our technical representatives are available to discuss extrusion processes to produce PA66 pipe that supports your needs and specifications.
PA66 offers chemical resistance and gas permeation resistance for a range of chemicals and gases, including, but not limited to, hydrocarbons, CO₂, H₂S, H₂, CH₄ (Methane).
With our Mobius line of PA66 resins, we’ve refined the science of extruding and molding PA66, creating new possibilities for integrating this highly durable plastic into a wide range of applications.
